Silver Service Taxi in Melbourne
Book a silver service taxi in Melbourne for the trips where the car and the driver matter: a premium vehicle and a professionally presented driver, booked ahead for your time, to the airport, a meeting or an event.
Why Book Silver Service with Us
A better car
A premium vehicle rather than whatever is nearest.
A professional driver
Presented properly, and used to corporate and event work.
Booked for your time
Reserve the car ahead for a set pickup time, not a cab that happens to be free.
A clear price
The standard fare plus a $11.00 silver service charge, shown in your estimate before you book.
Silver Service or a Standard Taxi?
A standard sedan is the best value for everyday trips. Silver service is worth the extra $11.00 when the arrival matters: collecting a client from the airport, getting to a wedding or a formal dinner, a race day, or simply wanting a quieter, more comfortable ride home after a long flight.
A silver service car takes up to 4 passengers and 2 large and 2 small bags. For more people or a lot of luggage, an SUV or a Maxi Taxi is the better choice, and you can book either on this page.

Silver Service for Business and Events
Silver service is the car businesses book for client pickups, airport arrivals and travel between meetings, and the one people choose for weddings, formal dinners, race days and nights out in the city. You can book the car for someone else and give us their details, and the driver meets them at the pickup point.
For regular business travel, Cabcharge is accepted and corporate accounts are available.

Silver Service Taxi FAQs
What is a silver service taxi in Melbourne?
Silver service means a premium vehicle and a professionally presented driver, booked ahead for a specific time. It is the option people choose for client pickups, airport arrivals and events, where a standard cab does not fit the occasion.
How much does silver service cost?
Silver service is the standard metered fare for the trip plus a $11.00 silver service charge. The fare calculator on this page shows the full estimate, including tolls and the airport fee, before you book.
Is silver service the same as a chauffeur car?
No. Silver service is still a taxi, charged on the taxi fare structure with a set extra charge, so it usually costs less than a chauffeur hire car. You get a premium car and a presented driver without paying hourly chauffeur rates.
How many people fit in a silver service taxi?
Up to 4 passengers with 2 large and 2 small bags. For a bigger group or more luggage, book an SUV or a Maxi Taxi instead.
Can I book silver service for a client pickup?
Yes. You can book the car for someone else, give us their name and pickup details, and the driver meets them. This is one of the most common silver service bookings.
Can I book silver service for a wedding or event?
Yes. Race days, corporate functions, weddings and formal events are regular work. Booking well ahead is worth it, since demand for premium cars peaks on exactly those dates.
